What an amazing start to our Super Summer Time this year! We were blessed to have met so many children today who already have been engaging with leaders and having fun. As we progress with our “Road to the Son” theme, we will focus on creative ways to explain the way of Salvation through colors and exercises.
Our road theme was ushered in when we met Crossing Guard Lucy, a charming and sometimes clumsy crossing guard to help us understand the Road to the Son.
Today was brought to you by the color Black: representing our sin. The kids were all given balls of paper and told to stand in front of their seats in the auditorium. They then tried to throw their paper balls into a coffee mug placed on the stage. Of course no one made it in. Demonstrating that it doesn’t matter how close you come to it, all of us have fallen short of God’s Glory.
Our road sign of the day was “Wrong Way” describing our actions, this was paired with our memory verse today:
Everyone has sinned. No one measures up to God’s glory.
A huge thank-you to the leaders and junior leaders for all their hard work and dedication! We could not have done it all without you. We’re looking forward to a great second day of SST! Please continue to Pray for our leaders, staff, and children as we start our second day of SST.
